Jess Rumlow is a strategic planning and operations leader with more than 25 years of experience helping mission-driven organizations clarify direction, strengthen alignment, and execute on their priorities. Her approach is grounded in real-world leadership experience, helping organizations move beyond planning to achieve measurable, lasting results.
Leadership That Makes a Difference
Jess has spent her career advancing mission-driven work through leadership, strategy, and community impact. She works directly with leadership teams and boards to guide strategic planning processes and support implementation, bringing a system-wide perspective to each engagement. In her work with the Massachusetts Alliance of YMCAs, she has led consulting efforts focused on organizational strategy, strategic initiatives, and operational alignment across multiple organizations; experience that gives her a uniquely broad lens on what it takes to drive change at scale. Previously, as CEO and Executive Director of the Berkshire Family YMCA, she led a $12M facility transformation, expanded services across state lines, and successfully navigated the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic while strengthening financial performance and operations.

She works with executives, boards, and leadership teams to develop clear direction, strengthen team dynamics, and build cultures where people and organizations thrive.
Jess holds a bachelor's degree in communications and a master's in education.
In Her Personal Life
When not helping organizations reach their full potential, Jess is a devoted wife and mother of two. She and her family share their home with their dog, Scotch. However, she and her husband are learning to be partial empty nesters, as their adult daughter is currently pursuing her education at Massachusetts Maritime Academy. In her spare time, Jess enjoys reading, connecting with friends over a good meal, and spending time with her family on their boat on the open sea.
